This is an amazing book for anyone who is interested in fiber. I am not really an avid knitter, but it’s so full of other useful stuff that I couldn’t dream of passing it by.

The Natural Knitter is full of information about (you guessed it) knitting with natural materials. It covers the common (wool, cotton) as well as the uncommon (qivuit, vicuna) with comprehensive sections on the sources and production of each fiber. There is even a section in the back that briefly tells about natural dying. Interspersed with all of this are also a number of patterns, ranging in difficulty from easy to experienced. (I am in the middle of a pair of gorgeous mittens.)

Also, the photography is tremendously beautiful.
