I found out about Bright Star from this post. (I’m often a little behind the curve on movies and TV.) Last week we finally watched it (after several rental attempts were thwarted by others getting it first) and —- (those are gasp lines) It is achingly beautiful and romantic.  I think I could consume it the way I consume certain songs I’m attached to, which is to say, on repeat.

There are so many beautiful arrangements of soft complimentary contrast.

Or tonal contrast.

The palette overall is fairly saturated, but manages to still be very delicate.

Maybe it’s this rainy spring weather that is making attracting me to the England of the early 1800’s. I’m not sure.
